Compounding allows providers to truly dial in a dose when the required dose is not available from a commercially manufactured product. It provides the ability to flavor a product to the patient's personal tastes such as Tutti Fruity for a young child or roast chicken for Fido. Sometimes patients have difficulty swallowing. When ordered, we can make the medication in a liquid or for topical application if indicated.
